The PowerGel Original is PowerBar's classic energy booster. The PowerGel Original gels contain a high dose of carbohydrates, which come from different sources, allowing you to keep pushing your limits.

The PowerGel Original is based on PowerBar's Dual Carb Mix. This 2:1 glucose-fructose ratio enables a maximum carb intake of 90 grams per hour. By comparison, sports nutrition products that use only glucose can provide a maximum intake of 60 grams per hour. In addition, each PowerGel Original gel contains approximately 200 milligrams of sodium, which contributes to good moisture absorption and makes you feel thirsty so that you continue to hydrate during exercise.

The PowerGel Original comes in PowerBar's unique and innovative packaging. They use the 'Trash Chain' technology to prevent you from losing the top strip when opening the packaging. This makes the PowerBar gels environmentally friendly as well.

Note: The PowerGel flavours Black Currant, Green Apple and Espresso contain 51 mg of caffeine per gel.

Recommended use: Take 1 gel 30 minutes prior to a short high-intensity effort or take 1-2 gels during the effort. It is recommended not to consume more than 3 gels per day.

Recommended dosage: The depletion of carbohydrate reserves during exercise is one of the most common causes of fatigue. Replenishing carbohydrates before and during exercise can improve (cycling) performance. If the effort lasts longer than 90 minutes, it is recommended to consume additional carbohydrates. A commonly used strategy is to consume energy gels during the high-intensity phases of exercise. The digestion process of energy gels requires less blood flow than other sports nutrition products.

Warning: PowerGel Original flavours Black Currant, Green Apple and Espresso contain caffeine (51 mg per gel). Not recommended for children and pregnant women. This nutritional supplement is not suited for people under the age of 18. A nutritional supplement is not a substitute for a varied diet.
